    Visa

An entry visa is required for American travelers to visit Brazil, as part of the reciprocity diplomatic agreement between the two countries. Most European and South American countries however do not require a visa to enter Brazil. So we suggest that you check online or through your travel agency if you need a visa before traveling.
A visa can be obtained in one of the Brazilian Consulates around the United States and Canada, being that each one covers several states. One can get a visa only in the Consulate under its jurisdiction. For U.S. citizens there is a processing fee of $130.00 in reciprocity for identical fee paid by Brazilians for Visas to the United States. For Canadian citizens, the fee is $65.00, and the fee varies depending on the country of citizenship. Please check with your local consular office or through their websites listed herein.

Our Affliliate Member, Travel Visa Pro, may be able to help you obtain this visa. Visit our Affiliate Member Page for more information.

Also, keep in mind that each Consulate has its own operations hours and procedures. So we encourage you to check the Consulate of your jurisdiction for further information. You can check the Ministry of External Relations website for a complete list of Brazilian Embassies and Consulates worldwide. You can also visit our listing of Consulate Offices in the United States by clicking here.
